You will be responsible for the development and implementation of the personal lines underwriting strategy, policies, procedures and controls, ensuring they have the technical capability to drive and support business plans.
You will ensure effective management of the Personal Lines insurance risks and that regulatory responsibilities are consistently met.
Additionally, you will contribute to the management of an appropriate authority’s framework and an industry leading development programme as part of our underwriting excellence strategy, whilst leading and coaching a team of technical Underwriters.
With your expert knowledge, you will have significant involvement in the company’s long-term major strategic project of implementing a new IT legacy system, making sure all underwriting requirements are met.
What they need from you
You will need to have solid technical underwriting capability within personal lines insurance (both motor and home) possessing exceptional leadership and people skills and will boast a track-record of guiding both people and strategy to success.
You will have previously had involvement within change programmes, such as system developments and will ideally have online experience.
